Performance Saturday, January 14, 2012, 8:30 pm. An evening of folk dances from Korea, Mexico, Nigeria, Russia, and the Ukraine. Tickets are $15 and are available online and at the door. Open seating.

Politics as a Vocation

The World Youth Alliance Chamber Orchestra will perform a short piece followed by keynote speaker Mary Ann GLENDON,  the Learned Hand Professor of Law at Harvard University, President of the Pontifical Academy of Social Sciences, and former U.S. Ambassador to the Holy See.  

At the beginning of an election year, even before taking sides, reality itself reminds us about the importance of participation in public life. Besides personal power, is there any other adequate motivation for entering, at any level, the political arena? Conversely, can we really ignore or be totally indifferent to the challenges of political life? Blessed John Paul II offers answers in Christifideles Laici.
