Sara Sievers

Sara Sievers is the associate dean of policy and practice at the University of Notre Dame’s new Keough School of Global Affairs. Formerly senior director at Columbia University’s Earth Institute, she has extensive experience in advocacy, policy, and governance issues pertaining to development. Most recently, she advised the government of Nigeria on implementing the Millennium Development Goals. Sievers has led global health and advocacy efforts at the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, served in the Foreign Service, and was founding executive director of Harvard University’s Center for Global Development and the Earth Institute’s Center for Globalization and Development. She holds an MBA from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
