Carie Boothe
Carie Boothe is a U.S. Navy helicopter pilot currently living in Rockville, MD, where she is assigned as a Military Deputy to the Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) in Washington, D.C. Carie received her Commissioning and a Bachelor of Science in English Literature (Honors) from the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD, in 2011. She earned her Navy Wings of Gold in Milton, FL in 2013 and was assigned to the MH-60R Seahawk as her primary platform. Her assignments prior to NRL include: HELICOPTER MARITIME STRIKE SEVEN FOUR (HSM-74) in Jacksonville, FL; Primary Flight Instructor in the T-6B Texan for TRAINING SQUADRON TWO SEVEN (VT-27) in Corpus Christi, TX; AIRBOSS onboard USS NEW ORLEANS (LPD-18) in Sasebo, Japan; and Department Head in HSM-74 in Jacksonville, FL. She has been deployed to the FIFTH FLEET Area of Operations (Arabian Gulf and Red Sea) twice and conducted two patrols to the South China Sea while embarked on various Naval Vessels and has accumulated over 2,740 flight hours.
Her personal decorations include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Strike/Flight Air Medal (five awards), Navy Commendation Medal (three awards), Combat Action Ribbon (two awards) and various personal and unit awards.
