Chuck Rossi

Chuck Rossi is a Distinguished Engineer at Meta, where he recently returned to develop AI-driven solutions in the Central Integrity group, enabling effective content moderation across the world's largest social networks. With nearly 40 years in Silicon Valley, he began his career at IBM and served as an early engineer at Silicon Graphics, VMware, Google, Facebook (now Meta), and Anduril Industries.

He designed and scaled Meta’s release infrastructure to support billions of users and thousands of daily deployments. During the Obama administration, he contributed as a consultant to the United States Digital Service (USDS), advising on modernization and efficiency initiatives at the Department of Justice and Social Security Administration. He has delivered numerous presentations, keynotes, and interviews on large-scale software systems, release engineering, and the complexities of social media policy and trust/safety.

Chuck's expertise spans release engineering, infrastructure at planetary scale, policy impact, and AI applications for trust and safety in global platforms.
