Deacon Tom Cornell

Deacon Tom Cornell, 83 years old, is a 64 year veteran of the Catholic Worker movement. He was managing editor of The Catholic Worker newspaper from 1962-1964 and remained close to Dorothy Day the rest of her life. He was a co-founder of the Catholic Peace Fellowship and of Pax Christi, USA. With his wife, Monica, he now serves as co-manager of Peter Maurin Catholic Worker Farm in Marlboro, N.Y., and as an associate editor of The Catholic Worker paper. Tom serves on the executive committee of the Dorothy Day Guild, established to forward her canonization as a saint. He has been a deacon in the Catholic Church since his ordination in 1988.
