Jared McNeill

Jared McNeill is an American actor, writer, director, and producer of theatre and film. For 10 years, he was a frequent company member and assistant to renowned theatre director Peter Brook. New York credits include The Suit and Battlefield at the Brooklyn Academy of Music, The Valley of Astonishment at Theatre for a New Audience, and Soldier X at HERE Arts, as well as a number of collaborations with Brooklyn's Moliere in the Park.  Abroad, he has performed or produced works in notable institutions such as the Barbican Theatre, The Young Vic (London), Les Bouffes du Nord, Theatre de la Bastille (Paris), Festival d'Avignon, Teatro Argentina (Rome), LG Arts Centre (Seoul), France's National Theatre La Comédie de Clermont-Ferrand, Italy's Teatro Due, and the Roma Teatro Festival. His latest work, The Rock, derived from T.S. Eliot's Choruses from 'The Rock' began as a theatrical research at the Silvio D'Amico National Academy of Dramatic Arts in Rome, where he is a professor of acting and directing. After debuting in May of 2025 in Spoleto, Italy, the piece has gone on to open the well-known Rimini Meeting in August of 2025, and has also resulted in the publishing of a music album, The Rock: An Electronic Rock Pop Gospel, with lyrics by T.S. Eliot, and original music by Jared McNeill and Claudio Scarabottini.
