Michael Carvill

FATHER MICHAEL CARVILL is a member of the Priestly Fraternity of the Missionaries of St. Charles Borromeo. He holds a Licentiate degree from the John Paul II Institute for Studies on Marriage and Family.

The Irish-born Michael Carvill was a layperson working in the computer field in Belgium when he heard of a movement called Communion and Liberation. After meeting with its founder, Fr. Luigi Giussani, Michael, who had long been thinking about a vocation, felt called to the priesthood.

He studied in Rome, was ordained in 1990 at the age of 33, and was sent to America to serve as a priest in California, Florida, and Massachusetts. Currently, Father Michael is serving as the pastor of Nativity of Our Lord parish in the Archdiocese of Denver in Colorado. He is the author of Changing the Equation: How Christ Changes Everything.

In April 2022, Fr. Michael was elected to lead Communion & Liberation in North America where there are over 200 communities in almost every state including Puerto Rico, Mexico, and Canada.
