The Church and AI
A panel discussion on how Catholic social doctrine is addressing the challenges of artificial intelligence, with Louis Kim, former vice president of personal systems and AI at Hewlett Packard, and Paul Scherz, professor of theology, University of Notre Dame, moderated by Davide Bolchini, executive associate dean, Luddy School of Informatics, Indiana University
Artificial intelligence is already having a profound impact on both personal and social life. Speakers will present its most recent advancements along with the related anthropological challenges and opportunities. They will also consider how the Church’s social teaching—always attentive to the signs of the times—is addressing these emerging realities.
